Audi India is all set to launch the petrol version of the Audi Q7, named as Q7 40 TFSI on September 1, 2017. Presently the premium SUV, Audi Q7 offers only the diesel unit in India.
The new variant is expected to come with the same outfit as its diesel counterpart. It will offer a newly designed exterior with LED headlamps including the manufacturer’s parking system with a 360-degree view camera. The inside cabin of the model will have a premium look equipped with all latest technology features including a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Moreover, the 20-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels add a sporty look to the car.
The next-gen model will sport the new petrol version in the line-up and is expected to get a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre engine, which churns out a maximum power output of 252 bhp against a peak torque of 370 Nm. The engine comes paired to an 8-speed manual gearbox. The model is claimed to attain a 0-100 kph speed in 7.1 seconds, similar to that of its diesel version.
The Seven-seater SUV is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 75 lakh to Rs. 80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Once launched the model is expected to compete with the likes of Jeep Grand Cherokee petrol version, Mercedes-Benz GLS400, BMW X5 35i and 3.0-litre petrol version of the Land Rover Discovery.
